Mill Park Hotel Wedding Louise + Padraig

Congratulations to Louise and Padraig who were married in Christchurch Main street Bundoran on the 5th of August 2016 with a fantastic wedding reception for their families and friends in the Mill Park Hotel in Donegal Town. I had a very easy start to the day on the 6th of August as the trip to Louise’s house only took me two minutes which is always a great bonus. On arrival at the house we met with Louise and her bridesmaids Emma, Michelle and Jessica who were all busy getting their hair and makeup done. I started off by shooting all the lovely details and Louise’s beautiful dress. The weather on the day was fine with a strong breeze but it stayed dry all day for us which was great. We went out to the garden to pop open a bottle of champagne with the girls and then once everyone was ready we got a few photos of everyone looking their finest before making the short hop into Bundoran to meet up with the boys. On our arrival at the church we met up with Padraig and his groomsmen Sean, David and Rory who were all busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests. After the ceremony I had plenty of time to get lots of candid photos as Louise and Padraig greeted their guests at the church door.

After we got the family photos done we made our way to Murvagh beach to get some bridal party photos and also some beautiful couple shots with Louise and Padraig. The beauty of Murvagh is you have a few very different looking locations within a very short distance of each other. We worked quickly and got all the photos we needed before getting back in the cars and making our way to the wedding reception which was held in the Mill Park Hotel in Donegal town. The Mill Park as always looked fantastic and is it always a pleasure to photograph a wedding there. We had planned to do a few night time photos after the first dance but as we were about to start the heavens opened and the rain came lashing down – we took a decision to do the steel wool photo which took 6 seconds to do and as soon as the flash fired to end the exposure Louise and Padraig ran for the door to get in from the rain as I packed up the gear for the journey home. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Louise and Padraig the very best for their future and to thank them for allowing me be part of their special day.
