Donegal wedding photography at the Mill Park Hotel

Congratulations to Lisa Gibbons and Micheál Roper who where married yesterday 23 August 2013. I started out my days photography by visiting Lisa at her Mum and Dad’s house in Kinlough which is only a stones throw from my own house, when I arrived I was stuck in the car for a few minutes while the heavens opened and the rain poured down in bucketful’s- however this was the last of the rain for the day as the child of Prague did its work wonderfully. Lisa and her bridesmaids – Claire, Sharon and Michelle where very relaxed and enjoying the craic while getting ready. After I had all the photos needed with the girls I headed the short hop up to St Aidan’s Church in Kinlough where I met with Micheál and his groomsmen Kenneth, Ciaran and Liam. The boys where busy meeting and greeting the guests arriving at the church and again not a sign of nerves in sight. After the lovely service by Fr. Keoghan we did the family photos outside the Church and then headed off to do some special photos with the bride and groom and the bridal party, we went to a few locations like the Grotto in Kinlough and a beautiful tree lined drive in Ballyshannon and also Dorrians Thatch Pub before we made our way to the wonderful Mill Park Hotel in Donegal Town for the reception. Donegal wedding photography at the Mill Park Hotel is a great experience as the hotel has beautiful gardens that are always in bloom no matter what time of year you visit and they really lend themselves to great wedding photos. To finish up my photography for the day we did some light painting shots in the hotel gardens after it got dark and when myself and my assistant Sinead left the party was in full swing and the dance floor was packed and rocking to the band.
