Great Northern Hotel Wedding | Karen + David

Great Northern Hotel Wedding

Congratulations on their Great Northern Hotel Wedding to Karen Burke and David Moran. Karen and David where married in St Aidan’s Church in Kinlough on 30th May 2014. Karen and David came home to Kinlough from their new lives in Australia to get married in front of their families and friends and they really had the most amazing and special day and I was so glad to be a part of it. On the morning of the wedding I met with Karen and her bridesmaids Grace, Clare and Maria in Karen’s mum and dad’s house in Kinlough. On my arrival Nuala from Split Ends Hair Salon (link) in Ballyshannon was busy with the hairstyles and the house was filled with a buzz of excitement. After I had got some beautiful bridal portraits with Karen in the garden- which her dad had looking amazing I made the short trip to St Aidan’s Church. At the church we met with David and his groomsmen Michael, John and Declan. The church was looking fantastic with beautiful flowers from Sinead at Elegant Flowers (link). The weather was perfect and the guests arrived and chatted and laughed outside until the time came for the bridal party to arrive. After the ceremony the bridal party and myself and my able assistant Sinead made our way to a few beautiful locations for some stunning wedding photos. Living in such an amazing location with the mountains and coastline right beside us makes my job as a wedding photographer so much easier. From our last location at the west end pool in Bundoran we made our way to the hotel for the reception. A Great Northern Hotel Wedding is a favorite of mine as not only is the location stunning but the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful and a joy to work with. On arrival to the hotel there was a traditional ice cream cart serving all the guests with beautiful flavours and more toppings and sprinkles than you could shake a stick at, this was provided by Willow Lane (link) from Enniskillen and it really went down a treat with everyone at the wedding. The entertainment for the evening was provided by Justin Mc Gurk and The Boogie Men (link)  and they never fail to impress me at every wedding I come across them. One of the highlights of a Great Northern Hotel Wedding (link) is  when the weather plays ball and produces a stunning sunset. This proved to be the case for Karen and David and we got one amazing sunset to really finish off the day in style. After we did some photos with the sparklers myself and Sinead packed up and said our goodbyes and the party was really getting going in the ballroom with The Boogie men having the floor filled with guests dancing. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Karen and David for allowing me to be part of their special day and I would like to wish them all the best for their future together. Here are some photos from the day… enjoy….
