Manor House Country Hotel Wedding | Majella + Donach

Manor House Country Hotel Wedding

Congratulations to Majella and Donach Gartlan who where married in the Sacred Heart Church Irvinestown Co. Fermanagh on the 6th June 2014. This was my first Manor House Country Hotel wedding and as I always do the first time I am shooting at a new venue I went up the week before the wedding and had a good scout around the hotel and its grounds and also the journey between the church and the hotel to find suitable locations for wedding photos. I have passed the Manor House Country Hotel in Killadeas many times on my way to Enniskillen but had never ventured in. Well I have to say it really is a stunning hotel and is surrounded by the most amazing gardens and golf course and it is also on the banks of the river Erne, so in essence it has everything you need for wedding photography. The hardest part is to decide where not to shoot as you could easily spend the whole day going from great photo location to greater photo location. I started the wedding photography by meeting Majella and her bridesmaids Vicky, Majella and Aideen in room 202 in the hotel where they were getting ready. The girls where nice and relaxed and taking everything in their stride. After we got some bridal portraits done with Majella and the girls we headed off to the church to meet Donach and his groomsmen Oisin, Rory and Wayne. The guests where already arriving at the Sacred Heart Church in Irvinestown for the wedding when we landed an the craic was great between the groomsmen and the arriving guests. After the wedding ceremony we made our way to castle Archdale for some wedding party photos and then on to the hotel grounds themselves. At the entrance to Manor House Country Hotel are some beautiful rhododendrons which where in full bloom and made for a stunning backdrop for some bridal portraits with Majella and Donach. From there we went down to the lake side and got some beautiful wedding photos in the summer sunshine. The guests enjoyed the beautiful weather and chatted and had drinks beside the fountain in front of the ballroom. The speeches raised the roof with a few of the guests contributing by telling some funny stories of memories they had of Donach growing up. Just after the first dance we did some sparkler photos out on the front lawn and then we packed up and said our goodbyes as the band kept the guests entertained. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Majella and Donach for allowing myself and Sinead be part of their Manor House Country Hotel Wedding and would like to wish them all the best for their future together.
