Great Northern Hotel Weddings Charlene and Kevin

Congratulations to Charlene and Kevin Loughlin who where married in Mary Queen Of The Peace Church in Garrison Co. Fermanagh on the 2nd August 2014. On the morning of the 2nd August I started my day by making the scenic drive along the shores of Lough Melvin from Kinlough to Garrison to Charlene’s home where she was getting ready for the big day. On arrival at the house I could see in the window and the hair and makeup was in full swing. Charlene and her bridesmaids Shirley, Tracy and Karen where in great spirits and enjoyed the whole process of getting ready and even managed to have a glass of champagne to help calm any nerves. The trip to the church was a very quick one and when we arrived the guests where starting to arrive and Kevin and his groomsmen Mark, Gary and Trevor where on hand to greet them. The weather on the day was abysmal- it rained then it poured followed by a sprinkle then it decided to come down in sheets- only in Ireland can a day of rain have so much variation! The umbrellas where out in force and that really made for some great photos- I really loved the Mona Lisa one! Some of the guests that didn’t have the brolly with them made use of handbags and jackets and others just enjoyed the few drops of rain. After the ceremony we had planned to go to Rusheen by the shore of Lough Melvin for some photos but as the rain was in its coming down in sheets variety it made getting many photos difficult but not impossible – Charlene and Kevin braved the wind and rain for one pic by the lake and also a few by the flower beds. On our way to the reception in the Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran we made a quick stop in Ballyshannon for a bridal party photo in a tree lined lane before getting back in the cars to get to the warmth and shelter of the hotel. Great Northern Hotel Weddings are a favorite of mine as the hotel always looks spectacular and Karen and her staff make sure everyone is looked after and that the whole event runs as smooth as possible. Following a great meal and hilarious speeches everyone made their way out to the edge of the golf course where Kevin- being the romantic he is – had organised a firework display and what a show it was. After a few light-painting photos and some dancing shots myself and Sinead packed up and headed for home as Pat Gallagher was rocking the stage and the guests where busting some dodgy moves on the dance-floor.  I would like to take this opportunity to wish Charlene and Kevin the very best for their future together, below you can see the other vendors who helped make Charlene and Kevin’s day so special.
