Tracy & Paul’s Harveys Point Hotel Summer Wedding
Congratulations to Tracy Lawn and Paul Daly who where married in St Patrick’s Church Ballyshannon followed by an amazing reception in Harveys Point Hotel on the 22nd August 2014. Myself and Sinead started our day off with a very short trip to Tracy’s mum’s house in Ballyshannon to meet with Tracy and her bridesmaids Emer, Renate and Carolyn and junior bridesmaid Meave. On our arrival we where greeted by a welcome sign in the garden for all the guests that had made long and some very long journeys to be at the wedding and also a Donegal flag that was being buffeted by a strong breeze- UP DONEGAL! Inside the house was an oasis of calm which is always great to see on the morning of a wedding. The girls where all busy with hair and makeup but everyone was relaxed and there was not a sight nor sound of panic. After we got some of the details shot myself and Sinead made our way to Dorrians The Thatch pub and met with Paul and his groomsmen Conor, Ronan and Robert. The boys had stayed the night in Dorrians hotel and decided to go for a pint of Guinness before the ceremony just to flush out any nerves that might have crept in otherwise. Barman Johnny was on the ball that morning as the fire was roaring away and the Guinness looked as smooth as silk and judging by the reaction of the first gulp from the boys it tasted good too! After we got some shots with the boys we made our way back to Tracy and the girls who where just about ready and we got our bridal portraits done before making the short hop to St Patricks for the wedding ceremony. Paul and the groomsmen where busy greeting the guests and the Inishfree string Quartet where playing the most amazing music inside the church. At the end of the ceremony Tracy’s brother Bobby sang a beautiful song and not only was he amazing but he left many with a tear in their eye and you can plainly see in the photos what it meant to Tracy and Paul. ย After the ceremony we made our way to The Thatch pub for some photos but sadly no time to sample the famous beers this time. The next stop on the way to the reception was at Murvagh beach- the wind was pretty strong coming in from the wild Atlantic ocean and Paul had to keep a firm grip on Tracy’s veil while we captured a few photos with the beauty of Donegal bay in the background. On the final approach to Harveys Point Hotel there are a few locations along the shores of Lough Eske for some photos and we stopped for a very quick couple of shots and the wind here was non existent so there was no danger of the veil being put into a low earth orbit. A Harveys Point Hotel Summer Wedding is really special as the location is second to none and Sara and her team really pull out all the stops to make sure every guest is looked after, it is easy to see why they constantly win awards for their amazing service. After we did the family photos on the lough shore the guests enjoyed the summer sun on the patio area outside the bar and then made their way to the ballroom for the reception. Just before Pink Champagne took to the stage for the evening we got some photos with the sparklers and then got ready for the first dance. The dance-floor was packed all evening and as myself and Sinead said our goodbyes we could see that the party was going to be a good one. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tracy and Paul for letting me be part of their special day and would like to wish them nothing but the best for their future together. Below are some of the other vendors who all helped Tracy and Paul have the wedding day of their dreams.
