Bundoran Wedding Photography | Kim + John At The Peak Restaurant

Congratulations to Kim Mc Elhinney and John O Brien who where married in Our Lady Star Of The Sea Church in Bundoran on Friday 19th September 2014 followed by an amazing reception in the stunning Peak Restaurant overlooking Donegal Bay. Kim and John are a great couple and they had the most amazing wedding- from start to finish it was a pleasure to be around them and their family and friends. Myself and Sinead started our day off by making the short journey to Bundoran to Kim’s home house where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids Kirsty and Jacinta. The girls where in great form and very relaxed and enjoyed a glass of champagne while the hair and makeup where getting done. Kim had an amazing wedding dress and a really beautiful wedding bouquet made by the very talented Ailin Gallagher from Ailins Wedding Flowers in Kinlough who also decorated the church and venue with her beautiful floral displays. Kim’s dad Steve had the garden looking fantastic and we made great use of it for some lovely bridal portraits before we left for the church. The wedding ceremony was taking place in Our Lady Star Of The Sea Church in Bundoran and we made the short journey – in fact the whole day was just short journeys which was great – to find John and his groomsmen Joe and Ray busy greeting the guests and handing out the mass booklets. The flower girls Tara, Aine and Lilly and page boy Adam where the center of attention with all the guests as they looked so cute in their dresses and suit. After the wedding ceremony John’s friends from his home club had formed a guard of honour with their hurleys  outside the church door and it made for some lovely photos. We got some photos back inside the church before making our way up to the top of Rougey for some stunning Bundoran wedding photography with Kim and John and the bridal party. On the way to our next location we made a pit stop in one of Bundorans most iconic pubs Brennans. The ladies where so glad to see the bridal party come in the door and soon had the Guinness flowing, they even took time out to give Kim a lesson on pulling the perfect pint of Guinness so from now on John can expect nothing but the best from his home pints!!! After the Guinness and Tayto crisps had been consumed we made our way to the West End pool for some stunning wedding photos with Kim and John. The wedding reception was hels at the Peak Restaurant in Bundoran and if there is a more stunning location for a wedding I have yet to find it. The view out the huge full wall glass windows over Bundoran and Donegal Bay are truly amazing- in fact it is hard to do anything else but stare out at the scenery and ignore all else going on around you. When the beautiful meal was over the guests where in for a real treat when the band – the world famous and Bundoran natives- Boxtie set up to begin the evenings entertainment. Boxtie had the dancefloor filled all night and it is a real treat to heat them play live. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Kim and John the very best for their future together and thank them again for allowing me be part of their special day.
