Great Northern Hotel Bundoran Wedding Aisling + Eamon
Congratulations to Aisling Sheerin and Eamon Mc Donnell who held their Great Northern Hotel Wedding on St Valentines day 14th February 2015 with a wedding service in St Patrick’s Church Ballyshannon followed by a great reception for their family and friends in the four star Bundoran Hotel. The 14th February 2015 was a very busy day indeed – it was St Valentines day and everyone with a partner in life was busy making a fuss over them and the single folk where busy getting plans made to snare themselves someone special – Ireland where playing France in the defense of their Six Nations crown in the Aviva stadium in Dublin Oh and Aisling and Eamon where getting married! When I arrived in Assaroe view in Ballyshannon, Aisling and her bridesmaids Orla, Christina, Tara and flower girl Hannah where getting their makeup applied by Tara from The Beauty Rooms in Ballyshannon and where busy getting ready and I was surprised how calm everyone was- there was no panic no fuss just calm. Aisling had the most amazing wedding dress that was a beautiful blue in colour with a white lace overlay and it was so refreshing to see something different and her amazing bouquet was made by Annette Lipsett fromย Perfect Scent in Kinlough.
I was able to make a quick stop with Eamon and the boys as they where getting ready just up the road from Aisling. On arrival I could see the best man Vinny busy writing and rewriting his speech for the evening – he was in a bit of a panic about it and Eamon and the boys had a good laugh at his predicament but let me tell you he had nothing to worry about as it turned out to be one of the best best man speeches I have ever heard and at this stage I have heard quite a few! After I got some bridal portraits done with Aisling and the girls myself and Sinead made our way up to St Patrick’s church in Ballyshannon for the wedding ceremony. The great Tony Keown from Garrison was on Videography duty and he was busy filming the arrival of the guests and bridal party.
The wedding ceremony itself was a beautiful part of the day with amazing singing from Trina O’ Neill and music by Niamh Sheerin and also a beautiful song sang by Hannah Sheerin who is Aisling’s daughter and flower girl. After the ceremony we got some family photos inside the church before making our way down to Fin Mc Cools for a few photos and the bridal party had a well deserved pint. From Fins we made our way to Bundoran and to the top of the cliffs at Rougey walk. The view from the cliff tops is spectacular and you have views of Tullan Strand and Donegal Bay. As luck would have it the skies where the most amazing I have seen in a long time- the clouds parted and sun rays streamed down on the Dartry mountains in the distance. It didn’t last for too long but Aisling and Eamon moved into position quickly and Sinead broke a land speed record for running into position with heavy lighting gear and we got the shot.
It was good to get into the hotel as it was a very cold day and the warmth was welcomed by everyone. After the meal that was put on by Karen and her staff and the speeches had finished the guests where kept busy with some black jack and roulette tables while Tommy Byrne and his band The Big Jigs got set up for the evenings entertainment. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Aisling, Eamon and Hannah for allowing me be part of their special Great Northern Hotel Bundoran Weddingย and wish them the very best of everything that life has to offer.
