Mill Park Hotel Donegal Wedding

Congratulations to Deniese Ward and James Feely who where married in a beautiful wedding ceremony in St Mary’s church Cashelard on the 20th February 2015 followed by a Mill Park Hotel Donegal Wedding reception for their family and friends. I started my day off by making the short trip to meet up with James and his groomsman Dan in James’s home house in Kinlough. The boys where busy getting dressed and the craic was good as the boys enjoyed some breakfast and a wee drink to banish any nerves.

My next port of call was with Deniese and bridesmaid Lorraine. The girls where getting ready in Ballyshannon in Deniese’s home house in Erne Dale and it happens to be next door to my own home house so there was no bother in finding the house and as we all grew up together there was no need for any introductions. Deniese was in great spirits and she was so relaxed it was great to see no nerves present at all. The girls popped open a bottle of champagne to have a sip while getting ready and Ann – mother of the bride – joined in with a glass too which I think was well deserved as I think Ann was flat out for the week prior to the wedding painting, wallpapering, tiling, dusting and hoovering – it was like a show-house Ann so fair play. After we got our shots of the girls with their stunning bouquets from Le Fleur in Ballyshannon we made our way to Cashelard for the wedding ceremony and we got some photos of the guests as they arrived in the cool February air.

After the wedding ceremony we got some family photos inside the church due to the cold outside. From there we made our way back into Ballyshannon and went down the Abbey to get some photos at the mill and on the old bridge. After we finished we made our way to Murvagh beach with Deniese and James to get some photos in the stunning location. The Child of Prague statue was certainly doing its job as the weather really picked up and the sun came out to play. We got some really dramatic wedding photos on top of the sand dunes and then we made our way across the road to the woods and we had time to get more special images in the beautiful setting. From Murvagh we made the short trip to Donegal town for the Mill Park Hotel Donegal Wedding reception.

The Mill Park Hotel Donegal Wedding venue is one of the most beautiful hotels anywhere for a wedding reception and Mary, Jim and all the staff really know how to make the reception so special for the couple and their guests. I really love the new chairs in the Hotel and also the small touches of flowers and candles and Love signs that all add up to a beautifully stunning venue. After the meal we had some great speeches and the cake was cut – the cake was another beautiful cake made by Park Lane Cakes in Kinlough – and then while the band – The Big Jigs – got set up for the evenings entertainment we brought Deniese and James and a few guests down to the pond for some night time shots with the sparklers. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Deniese and James the very best of everything that life has to offer and thank them for allowing me to be part of their special day, below are some of the photos from the wedding day….enjoy…..
