The Grand Hotel Malahide Wedding Louise and Anthony
The Grand Hotel Malahide Wedding Louise and Anthony
Congratulations to Louise O’ Neill and Anthony Lyons who where married in the Church of the Assumption in Howth Co. Dublin on the 11th April 2015 followed by a wonderful reception for their family and friends in the beautiful Grand Hotel in Malahide. Myself and Sinead made our way to Dublin the evening before the wedding and stayed with our Aunt in Raheny which meant we had a later start and could relax and enjoy some breakfast. We arrived in the Grand Hotel in Malahide where Louise and her bridesmaids Yvonne, Maria and Maeve and Junior bridesmaid Orlaith where getting ready. The girls where all in a very relaxed mood and enjoyed some champagne and strawberries as the got the hair and make up taken care of. After we got the detail shots and some photos with the girls we made our way to the Church of the Assumption in Howth for the wedding ceremony. The journey to Howth took quite a while due to the heavy Friday traffic volumes and also having to stop for trains at the level crossing – you don’t get much of that around Donegal!! On arrival at the church we met with Anthony and his groomsmen Barry, Andrew and Nigel who where all busy meeting and greeting the guests. The Church was packed full of family and friends and I knew many of them from Ballyshannon. After the wedding ceremony we made our way down to the pier in Howth for some photos with the bride and groom. It was a cold crisp day with a slight breeze and a few heavy showers knocking about but we where very lucky and managed to dodge the worst of them. From the pier we made our way to Malahide for the wedding reception but made one last stop at Malahide castle for some bridal party photos around the stunning grounds. There where loads of tourists making their way around the castle grounds but they where very good to us and gave us plenty of space to get our photos. It was only a two minute journey from the castle to the hotel and it was great to get back into the warmth again. The Grand hotel was looking fantastic and the ballroom was decorated beautifully with the amazing wedding cake the centerpiece of the room. It was a great evening with hilarious speeches and guests mad for dancing. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Louise and Anthony the very best of everything for their future together and below are some of the highlights from their amazing wedding day…. enjoy
