Sligo Park Hotel Weddings
Sligo Park Hotel Weddings
Congratulations to Áine and Brian who were married in Ballymote Church Co. Sligo on the 4th of July 2015 followed by a fantastic Sligo Park Hotel Weddings reception for their families and friends. I really love to shoot Sligo Park Hotel Weddings as the hotel is big and there is plenty of space for the wedding guests to have a chat and a drink in comfort be it inside or outside and the 4th of July provided some lovely weather for a wedding – although it did start to rain really heavily around 10pm but by that stage we had all the photos wrapped up. I started my day by making the journey up to Ballymote in Co. Sligo and my first stop was Áine’s home house where she was busy in hair and make-up with her bridesmaids Niamh, Joanne and Sinead. On video duty for the day was Caroline and Mark who are the super talented husband and wife team from Pink Lime Video Productions– you really owe it to yourself to check out their work. The sun was shining high in the Sligo sky and the girls where in great spirits and there was a real buzz of joy and nervous excitement for the day ahead. After we got some photos of the wedding details and a few shots with Áine and the girls we made the short trip to the Church in Ballymote. On arrival we met up with Brian and his grooms-men Gerry, Nigel and Trevor who where all busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests. Áine arrived in style with her dad by Horse and trap and Brian knew when to make his way inside the church when he heard the clippty clop of the horses hoofs coming down the road. After the wedding ceremony we made our way to a small farm yard on the outskirts of Ballymote town where there was a bride and groom made out of round bales of hay, this looked fantastic and really made for some great wedding photos. From there we made our way to a patch of land that was allowed grow wild and free and it was full of daisy’s and was just the most amazing wild meadow. We got some beautiful photos with Áine and Brian there and Mark and Caroline shot some amazing video footage. The next stop on our speedy tour of Sligo beauty spots was Doorly Park in Sligo town. Doorly Park is just a quick hop from the Sligo Park Hotel and it is an amazing location for wedding photos. The swans unfortunately didn’t come near us but I would say if I had remembered to pack a loaf of bread in the car then I could have got them to perform for the camera! I’m sure I could have spent all afternoon in Doorly Park taking beautiful wedding photos but we got what we needed and made our way to the Sligo Park Hotel for the wedding reception. As I said earlier I love Sligo Park Hotel Weddings and its always a pleasure to work in such a fantastic hotel with friendly and helpful staff. As the music was under-way and the rain was pelting down from the sky myself and Sinead made our way home happy in the knowledge we had a great days photos safely on the memory cards. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Áine and Brian the very best of everything life has to offer for their future and thank them for allowing me be part of their wonderful Sligo Park Hotel Wedding.
