The Abbey Hotel Donegal Town Wedding Breege & Gary

The Abbey Hotel Donegal Town Wedding

Congratulations to Breege Keeney and Gary Mc Crossan who were married in St Bridget’s Church in Ballintra Co. Donegal on the 15th of August 2015  following onto The Abbey Hotel Donegal Town Wedding reception for their families and friends. I started my day off with a visit to Breege who was getting ready in her parents house just a few  miles from St Bridget’s Church in Ballintra. When we arrived Breege was busy getting ready along with her bridesmaids Maggi, Mandy and Mary. I got some great shots of Beth who was the flower girl and Aaron who was the page boy  while the girls were putting the finishing touches to Breege’s veil. After some photos with Breege and the bridesmaids and her parents we made the short drive to the church in Ballintra were we met up with Gary and his groomsmen Paul, Gavin and Mark who were all busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests. Breege arrived in style and on time in her vintage wedding car and as the guests were already inside the church the marriage ceremony kicked off bang on time. After the ceremony we were able to get the family photos done outside on the steps of the church as the weather was thankfully playing ball for us. The wedding reception was being held in the Abbey Hotel in Donegal town and before we made our way to the hotel we made a quick stop in Murvagh for some bridal party photos. Murvagh is a great location for photos as it has the beautiful beach on one side of the road and a forest on the other so you can get two completely different sets of photos just by crossing the road- sweet! We started off the shoot on the tops of the sand dunes which give a great view across the beach and out into Donegal bay. From there we went up into the woods and got some great photos in among the trees. After about twenty minutes with all our shots taken there was time to pop open a bottle of champagne for Breege and Gary to enjoy on the ten minutes it would take to get to Donegal town for the wedding reception in the Abbey Hotel. On arrival to the hotel there was a lovely champagne reception and tables filled with cakes, scones and colourful macaroons. The evenings entertainment was provided by the fabulous David Craig Band and they certainly know how to keep a dancefloor filled with great song after great song making it hard for anyone to sit down. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Breege and Gary the very best of everything for their future and thank them for allowing me capture their special day, below are some of the photos from Breege and Garys Abbey Hotel Wedding…..enjoy……
