Mill Park Hotel Wedding Kim and Hugo
Mill Park Hotel Wedding Kim and Hugo
Congratulations to Kim and Hugo who were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony in St Aiden’s Church in Kinlough Co. Leitrim on the 31st of October 2015 followed by a brilliant Halloween wedding reception for their families and friends in the stunning Mill Park Hotel in Donegal town. At the end of October you would think that the weather would be cold, damp and dreary but to everyones great surprise this Halloween weekend proved to be the exact opposite with beautiful sunshine and clear blue skies which made for a great wedding day for Kim and Hugo. I started my day off with a quick spin down the road to Tullaghan where Kim and her bridesmaids Dawn and Aoife and flower girl Ellie were getting ready. The atmosphere in the house was very relaxed with everyone enjoying the gradual build up and I’m pretty sure the glorious sunshine lifted everyones spirits that bit extra. I started off getting my detail photos and it was great to see Kim’s beautiful wedding dress sitting on a mannequin which made getting some beautiful photos of it really easy. Kim’s wedding bouquet had the autumnal theme in its colours with orange and red and berries and the bouquet and all the wedding flowers were provided by Ailin Gallagher from Ailin’s Flowers in Kinlough – you can visit Ailin’s website Here to view more of her beautiful floral creations. After a few photos with Kim and her family we left to go to St Aiden’s Church in Kinlough for the wedding ceremony. On our arrival we met with Hugo and his groomsmen Sean and Gerard who were busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests. The church was packed and Fr Keoghan kept the congregation entertained as always with his light hearted and easy going approach to the wedding ceremony. It was great to see everyone mingle outside after the ceremony for a chat and it allowed me to get some great candid photos of the guests. As the guests made their way to Donegal town for the wedding reception in the Mill Park Hotel I took Kim and Hugo and the bridal party for some photos before we followed them down. The first stop was the Bog – yes that was not a typo it was the Bog! Just a mile or two from Kinlough there is plenty of bog land and it makes for some great photos as it is always flat and it allows the sky to be dominant in the photos and with a beautiful sun on show it would have been terrible to not include it in the photos. From the bog we went to the old mass rock a few miles from Kinlough which is in a beautiful wooded area and as the sun was getting low in the sky it bathed the woods in the most amazing golden light which really made for some dramatic wedding photos. The last stop on our loop was made at Tullaghan house for a few quick photos in front of the impressive property before heading off to The Mill Park Hotel for the wedding reception. Kim and Hugo had the hotel looking fantastic with carved pumpkins decorating every table and window sill and a very spooky sweet table. The good weather continued into the night and we got out to get some creative night time photos with Kim and Hugo before heading for home while the party was only properly getting started. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kim and Hugo for allowing me be part of their special day and would like to wish them the very best of everything for the future, below are some of the photos from the Mill Park Hotel Wedding Kim and Hugo…..enjoy……
