Landmark Hotel Wedding Catriona and Eoin
Landmark Hotel Wedding Catriona and Eoin
Congratulations to Catriona and Eoin on their beautiful Autumn wedding on the 25th of October 2015 in St. Mary’s Church Glenfarne followed by a fantastic wedding reception for their families and friends in the stunning Landmark Hotel in Carrick On Shannon. I always love the Irish autumn when it is cool but not too cold and nature looks it’s best with beautiful yellow orange and red colours everywhere, it just makes for beautiful wedding photos and with my trip to Glenfarne to photograph Catriona and Eoin’s wedding I was not disappointed with either the weather or mother nature. I started my day off with Catriona and her bridesmaids Martina and Tracey who were all busy in hair and makeup. There was a lovely buzz in the house with the three flower girls Shannon, Emma and Stephanie being really excited for the day ahead. After we got our shots with Catriona it was only a minutes drive from the house to St Mary’s Church in Glenfarne for the wedding ceremony. On arrival at the church we met with Eoin and his groomsmen Liam and David who were all busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests. I do love having the opportunity to capture some candid photos of the wedding guests as they meet and chat each other in front of the church before the bride’s arrival. Catriona didn’t keep anyone waiting and arrived bang on time for the one o’clock ceremony. After the ceremony I had time for more candid photos before going back into St. Mary’s for the family photos.
After we had finished up in the Church we only had to travel a few hundred meters for our first location in a beautiful wooded area not far from the Church. The colours in the forest were amazing with a fantastic contrast between the reds and greens of the trees and Catriona’s beautiful white wedding dress. After the woods we started the journey to Carrick-On-Shannon which was going to take around half an hour. We had one more stop planned which was a lovely pier on the shore of lough Allen not far from Ballinagleragh. The weather had started to take a turn for the worse as we arrived and there was a huge rain cloud fast approaching us from across the lough, we had to work quickly to get our shots before the rain reached us. The dark rain cloud really made the shots for me as they made for a really dramatic background to the photos of Catriona and Eoin on the pier. With the first drops of rain falling we wrapped it up and made our way to the Landmark hotel in Carrick-On-Shannon for the wedding reception. The Landmark Hotel is a great place for a wedding reception with great views across the river Shannon and it always pulls out all the stops for their wedding couples. Once the meal had finished the band were ready to go and the party kicked off with a full dancefloor and great music. We got some nighttime photos in front of the hotel with the sparklers and steel wool before saying goodbye to everyone. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Catriona and Eoin for having me be part of their special day and would like to wish them the very best of everything for the future. Below are some of the photos from Catriona and Eoin’s Landmark Hotel Wedding…..enjoy…..
