Great Northern Hotel Spring Wedding Noelle + Kyle
Great Northern Hotel Spring Wedding
Congratulations to Noelle and Kyle who were married in a beautiful ceremony in St. Patrick’s Church in Belleek Co. Fermanagh on the 29th of April 2016 followed by a brilliant Great Northern Hotel Spring Wedding reception for their families and friends. The end of April is a lovely time of year for a wedding if the weather can behave itself for any length of time and on the 29th thankfully I can say that for the most part we hit the weather jackpot. I started my day off with a trip across the border to Belleek in Co. Fermanagh to Noelle’s home where she was getting ready along with her bridesmaids Roisin and Donna. As we started to take some shots of the many wedding details the sky opened up and the heaviest shower of hail descended from the dark sky – not a good start I thought! This however turned out to be the last shower we would see until late in the evening thankfully. The girls were all in great spirits and enjoyed a glass of champagne while getting their hair and makeup done. The journey to St Patrick’s Church for the wedding ceremony didn’t take long as it is literally across the road from Noelle’s home.
On our arrival at the church we met up with Kyle and his groomsmen for the day Mark and Dwayne. The boy’s were all busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests and we had some time to get a few photos with the boys before Noelle and the girls made their way to the church door. Noelle looked absolutely stunning as she made her way up the aisle with her father to beautiful music and singing from Olivia O’ Hanlon. After the ceremony the guests chatted outside in the lovely spring air and this allowed me to get lots of candid photos which I love. We used the beautiful area around the altar in St. Patrick’s for the family photos before making our way to Castle Caldwell Forest Park for the bridal party photos.
Castle Caldwell Forest Park just outside Belleek is a beautiful location for wedding photography. We started off with some photos down on the wooden jetties and the blue sky with white puffy clouds really made the perfect backdrop. Michael from Donegal Wedding Cars had a big bottle of Champagne on ice which he popped open so everyone could enjoy a glass or two in between the photos. The great thing about a spring wedding is the forest is looking its best and it provided us with a fantastic carpet of Bluebells to get some amazing wedding photos. We didn’t take long to get all the photos we needed and it was soon time to get back in the cars to make our way to the Great Northern Hotel for the wedding reception. The meal as always in the Great Northern Hotel was top class and it was followed by some hilarious speeches that kept the guests laughing throughout. The weather had turned a bit in the evening with some passing showers but we still managed to get outside to do some photos with the sparklers and steel wool. The band for the evening was White Lightning and they had the dancefloor filled from the start. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Noelle and Kyle for having me as part of their wedding day and I would like to wish them both the very best of everything for the future.
