Great Northern Hotel Bundoran Wedding Niamh and Khalil. Congratulations to Niamh and Khalil who were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Our Lady Star Of The Sea Church in Bundoran Co. Donegal on the 1st of October 2016 followed by a brilliant wedding reception in the Great Northern Hotel for their families and friends. The 1st day of October was just perfect – the perfect people for a wedding, the perfect location for a wedding and the perfect weather for a wedding – it doesn’t get much better really. I started my day off with a trip down to Donegal town where Niamh and her bridesmaids Katie, Tori, Shauna, Sarah Jane and Cara were getting ready. The girls had their hair done by Rossano’s in Ballyshannon and Michelle was busy getting the make-up applied so the girls looked their very best. I got busy getting photos of all the lovely details Niamh had gathered up for the wedding and as soon as the girls were ready we got some photos of everyone together before making our way to Bundoran for the wedding ceremony in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.

On arrival at the Church we met up with Caroline from Pink Lime Video Productions who was taking care of the cinematic video for the day, there was lot’s of fun and laughter for Caroline to catch as the guests mingled and chatted outside the church in the glorious autumn sunshine.I was able to get a few photos with Khalil and his groomsmen Amer, Jarlath, Sam, Fadel and Ahmed before the wedding cars arrived with the bridesmaids and the boy’s had to rush inside before Niamh’s arrival. Niamh looked absolutely stunning and her dad Adrian looked like the proudest man in Donegal if not Ireland as he walked her down the aisle. After the ceremony we got a few family photos done before making our way to the top of Rougey for some bridal party photos. The view across Donegal bay from Rougey is spectacular and on a day with warm sunshine and blue skies with white puffy clouds there is no better place to be on mother earth. Niamh and Khalil were enjoying every moment of their wedding day and Khalil had a great ability to keep everyone smiling and laughing which made my job with the photos so easy.

Once we wrapped things up at Rougey we made the very short trip to the wedding reception which was being held in the fantastic Great Northern Hotel. Karen and Lee had the ballroom looking amazing as always and I had a busy time recording all the personal touches before the guests made their way in for their meal. The wedding cake was another masterpiece by Park Lane Cakes in Kinlough and I can always pick out their cakes before asking who made it which is testament to their amazing skills. After dinner there was a great bit of excitement when The Hit Machine Drummers appeared and put on a great show of their percussion skills and they had a dancer with them that would have given Michael Flatley a run for his money. Just to cap off a beautiful day mother nature provided us with a stunning sunset and we got out onto the golf course with Niamh and Khalil for a quick photo before making our way back inside for the first dance. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Niamh and Khalil and their families for making us feel so welcome and I would like to wish them every happiness for their future, below are some of the vendors who helped make Niamh and Khalil’s wedding so special….
