Sligo Park Hotel Wedding Deirdre & Christopher

Congratulations to Deirdre and Christopher who were married in St Aidan’s Church Kinlough Co. Leitrim on the 7th of April 2017 with a fantastic wedding reception for their families and friends in the beautiful Sligo Park Hotel. The 7th of April was a beautiful spring day with plenty of cloud cover but no rain which really is the best you can hope for in Ireland. I started my day off by visiting Deirdre and her bridesmaids Niamh, Nicole and Louise who were getting ready in Deirdre’s home house just outside Kinlough. The girls were all very relaxed and enjoyed the morning having plenty of laughs while Olivia from Olivia’s Beauty in Bundoran did a fantastic job with the make-up and of course there was an odd glass of champagne thrown in for good measure. With us for the day on Videography duty was Conor Conlon from CMP Productions– this was my first outing with Conor but I have been a fan and following his work for a long time- he is a dab hand with the drone too which really add the wow factor to wedding videos and you can check out Conor’s fantastic work on his website here. After we left the girls we made our way to St Aidan’s Church in Kinlough for the wedding ceremony. On arrival at the church we met up with Christopher and his groomsmen Thomas, Gareth and Kevin who were all busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests. We managed to get some photos with the boys and a few candid photos of the guests before Deirdre and the girls arrived on time at 1pm.

After the ceremony we got the family photos done inside St Aidan’s and then we made our way to the Mass rock in Tawley for a few photos with the bridal party- on the way to Tawley we made a quick stop off in the bog for a few photos with Deirdre and Christopher and sure what better day for a walk in the bog than on your wedding day!! The mass rock in Tawley is a beautiful location with trees and wild flowers and all close to the main road. From Tawley we made the short trip to Mullaghmore for some photos by the coast and there really is no better location than Mullaghmore head for wedding photos. Conor got the drone out and got some totally amazing shots of Deirdre and Christopher on the cliff tops with the wild Atlantic below. We always work fast and make sure to get our brides and grooms back to the reception nice and early so they can enjoy plenty of quality time with their guests before the hotel call for the meal and we got back to the Sligo Park Hotel in great time and then got plenty of candid photos of the guests enjoying some time with the bride and groom. The hotel ballroom as always looked fantastic and I always enjoy shooting all the little details that the hotel and couple spend so much time and effort getting together for the wedding day not to mention the fantastic wedding cake which was the centre piece and show stopper from Catherine in Park Lane Cakes in Kinlough. We managed to get our night time photos done before the first dance and as we left the hotel the party was well and truly underway and everyone was enjoying themselves to the max.
