Harvey’s Point Christmas Wedding Siobhan + Aaron
Congratulations to Siobhan and Aaron who were married on the 19th of December 2019 in a beautiful wedding ceremony in St Mary’s Church Dregish followed by a fantastic Harvey’s Point Christmas Wedding reception for their families and friends.
The morning of the 19th of December was cold, calm and quiet- not like the howling gales and torrential rain of the day before so jumping in the car to make my way to Co. Tyrone I already had a smile on my face and a gut feeling that this was going to be a great day! and as far as gut feelings go I got this one pretty much spot on.
I arrived at Siobhan’s home house on the Drumlegagh Road just outside Omagh where she was busy getting hair and makeup done by Olivia from Olivia Muldoon Hair and Makeup Studio along with her bridesmaids Donna, Paula and Cleona. The girls were all very relaxed and had plenty of fun company from the beautiful flower girls Aoife, รadaoin, Milla, Claire and Rรณisรญn. On videography duty for the day was Gavin Quinn from I Do Weddings and it was great catching up wit Gavin again as we had worked together before at a wedding in Corrick House – you can view some of Gavin’s excellent video work on his website here.
After Siobhan was in her amazing wedding dress- a Justin Alexander Signature dress from Pronuptia Belfast– we got some photos of the girls in their beautiful Motee Maids bridesmaids dresses from Creative Ideas Bridal in Armagh and I made sure to get some photos of the stunning bouquets with their Christmas colours expertly put together by Pollocks Flowers. I then made the short drive to St Mary’s Church Dregish for the wedding ceremony. The Church is set down a quiet country lane with lovely views of the rolling Tyrone countryside. I met with Aaron and his groomsmen Conor, Chris and Ciaran on my arrival at St Mary’s and they were in fine form laughing and joking with the arriving guests.
It wasn’t long until Siobhan arrived in her beautiful vintage wedding car supplied by Glendale Limousines from Omagh and as you can see in the photos below Siobhan showed no signs of nerves at all as she was beaming a beautiful smile as the car pulled up to the church gates, Siobhan was escorted to the top of the aisle by her dad to beautiful singing and music provided by Orlaith Birney, Caoileann Mc Enhill and Niall Mc Enhill. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Fr. Colm O’Doherty and he made the ceremony so personal to Siobhan and Aaron and it was very obvious that although Fr. Colm has moved on to another parish and just came back for the wedding he is highly regarded and missed by all the parishioners.
After the wedding ceremony and family photos were done we made the journey from Tyrone to Donegal for the Harvey’s Point Christmas Wedding reception. We made one quick stop with Siobhan and Aaron at the old railway bridge over the Lowerymore river in Barnesmore Gap between Ballybofey and Donegal town. The bridge is right beside the main road but if you venture into the river a bit you can cut out the passing traffic and make it look like a remote wilderness scene nestled beautifully between Croaghconnelagh (Connall’s) mountain and Croaghonagh (Owen’s) mountain and it really is a beautiful location for some wedding photos.
After our quick stop we made our way to Harvey’s point where we were warmly greeted by wedding planner Michรกel and his team team. A quick glass of champagne was enjoyed by the bridal party before we made our way down to the pier for some photos- as the sun was nearly set we had to work fast and that was no harm as the temperature was dropping as fast as the sun so we got everything done quickly and got back into the warmth of the hotel stopping off for a quick photo with the wedding cake beautifully made by Katrina Devine from Katz Cakes. The pier is such a great place for wedding photos and offers stunning views across lough Eske and has the Bluestack mountains in the background.
The evenings entertainment was provided by the very talented Red Alert Wedding Band and as is always the case the boys had the dance-floor filled from the off. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Siobhan and Aaron for having me be part of their beautiful Harvey’s Point Christmas Wedding and I would like to wish them the very best of everything life has to offer for their future together.
