Mill Park Hotel Donegal Wedding

Congratulations to Niamh and Mikey who were married on the 19th of September 2020 in a beautiful wedding ceremony in St Patrick’s Church Ballyshannon followed by a fantastic Mill Park Hotel Donegal Wedding reception for their families and friends. The 19th of September was an absolutely beautiful day weather wise and people wise – the sun was shining high in the sky and two beautiful people in Niamh and Mikey were getting married.

I started my day off with a short drive to my hometown of Ballyshannon to Niamh’s parents house where Niamh and her bridesmaids Nicola and Lisa were busy getting their hair and makeup done by the fabulous Sinead from Beauty Boutique by Sinead Corrigan-Crowell and Rachel from Mai Kelly Beauty and Hair Salon.

The girls were all very relaxed and the timings were running perfectly which allowed me to get some great detail photos of Niamh’s stunning wedding dress which she got from Pearls and Lace in Donegal town and if you are in the market for a wedding dress yourself make sure to check out the Perals and Lace website here. I was joined on the day by Niamh’s cousin Joe Chapman who was second shooting for me – Joe is an amazing photographer who is from Bundoran and is now based in Cork. Mikey and his groomsmen Peter and Mick were busy meeting and greeting the arriving guests when I arrived at St Patrick’s for the wedding ceremony and we had just enough time for some photos with the boy’s before Niamh arrived bang on time in a stunning Red Volkswagen Beetle car – the car actually belongs to Mikey and he has a real passion for vintage and classic cars and owns a few of them and he tells me that he is soon to be expanding his fleet and also taking on a new business venture providing his classic cars for wedding days so if you are in the process of planning your own wedding and want to arrive at your ceremony and reception in style Mikey will certainly get you there in style.

After the ceremony we made our way to Murvagh for some photos and video and as usual Murvagh didn’t disappoint – the sun shining didn’t hurt either but with sweeping views of Donegal Bay and the dappled light in the forestry you could not go wrong in Murvagh. From there we made our way to The Mill Park hotel in Donegal town for the wedding reception and we were warmly welcomed by Mary, Niamh and all the team in the Mill Park. The band for the evening were called Pyramid from Galway and they had the dance-floor hopping from the off as you can see in the wedding film below and the delicious wedding cake was supplied by Maddy’s Sweet Treats.
