What a fantastic year 2018 was with so many brilliant weddings and special moments captured. I can’t believe how quickly the year has gone by and it brought a smile to my face looking back over the weddings and picking out a few images here and there for the slideshow. I met so many great couples and was welcomed into so many family homes and it was a privilege to work so closely with everyone along the way.

Congratulations to Melissa and Scott who were married on the 9th of April 2018. Glenveagh National Park in the heart of Donegal is certainly one of the most stunning landscapes you will encounter anywhere in Ireland and it was such a treat for me to photograph such a beautiful couple like Melissa and Scott in an amazing setting like Glenveagh. In April in Ireland you can hope for a dry hour but you would honestly settle for a dry twenty minute

Congratulations to Laura and Daimon who were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony in the Great Northern Hotel Bundoran on the 2nd March 2018. Ah the 2nd of March 2018 – storm Emma– red and orange weather warnings issued- half of Ireland neck deep in snow and the rest battered by winds and extreme cold- we didn’t get the snow in Bundoran but by God we got the cold in bucket loads!! Baltic it was- but it didn’t stop Laura and Daimon going to the top of Rougey for their photos- it may have been 10 degrees below zero with the wind chill but everyone battled on and smiled through it and as a result we got a beautiful set of images to show and thankfully everyone thawed out within 48 hours!!

Congratulations to Fiona and Shane who were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Christ Church, Hall Demesne in Mountcharles on the 1st of December 2017 followed by a fantastic Harveys Point Hotel Winter Weddings reception for their families and friends.

The 1st day of December was a very special day for Fiona and Shane as it was the day they choose to get married and commit their lives to each other in front of their families and friends and I was so privileged to be there to document their amazing wedding day. I started off my day with a trip to Shanes home on the outskirts of Donegal town. Shane and his best man Owen were very relaxed and had a good laugh popping the champagne before heading inside to get ready for the big day.

Mill Park Hotel Wedding Laura + John. Congratulations to Laura and John who were married in Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church in Glenfin in Co. Donegal on the 30th of September 2017 and had a fantastic wedding reception for their families and friends in the stunning Mill Park hotel in Donegal town. I started my day off with a trip to Laura’s home house which is only a short hop of four mile from the church in Glenfin. On arrival at the house we met up with Laura and her bridesmaids Anita, Caitriona, Naomi and Charlene. The girls all looked fantastic having had their makeup done by Shana Cassidy from Ballybofey and Laura had her hair done by Aine Mc Hugh while the bridesmaids were taken care of by Image Salon Brockagh. The girls were all relaxed and we had some fun popping open a bottle of champagne and then got some portraits in the front garden bathed in glorious sunshine.

Congratulations to Marietta and Cathal who were married in Aghyaran Chapel in Killeter Co. Tyrone on the 17th of November 2107 followed by a fantastic wedding reception in the beautiful Silver Tassie Hotel in Letterkenny Co. Donegal. Here are a few sneak peek photos from Marietta and Cathal’s beautiful winter wedding. The day itself was cold and wet but with a willing bride and groom it is amazing how many great photos can be done in a short period of time. It was great as always to be working alongside the very talented Jason Mc Garrigle from Donegal Video whose beautiful cinematic wedding videos can be viewed on Jason’s website here. I would like to thank Marietta and Cathal for having me be part of their Silver Tassie Hotel Letterkenny Winter Wedding and would like to wish them the very best of everything for their future together. Enjoy the sneak peek and don’t forget to check back later for the full blog post……enjoy…

Congratulations to Aine and Aidan who were married in the beautiful Donegal village of Glencolmcille in St Columba’s Church on the 21st of April 2107 with a brilliant reception for their families and friends in the Blue Haven hotel in Kilcar Co. Donegal.

I started my day off with a lovely scenic drive into the heart of the Donegal countryside- for me this is the proper Donegal- the wild side of the county with amazing mountain and sea views at every turn- I always pat myself on the back when I arrive to the bride’s house in this part of the world as it is very easy to get distracted with the amazing views and not pay any attention to the very narrow and winding roads which could lead to a car in the ditch scenario!

Congratulations to Lindsay and Colm who were married in St Brigid’s Church Golan in Milford Co. Donegal on the 12th of May 2017 followed by a brilliant Clanree Hotel Letterkenny Wedding reception for their families and friends. The 12th of May 2017 was what we call in Ireland “a grand soft day” which means it was cloudy with little wind and a mist of rain now and again but nothing to get excited about and certainly nothing to make you rush home and take the washing in off the line! I started my day off with a stop off with Colm and his groomsmen Donal and Daragh who were getting ready in Colm’s home house just outside of Milford. The boys were all very relaxed and I got a few quick shots with them before making my way to the other side of Milford town to Willow Farm where Lindsay and her bridesmaids Vicky and Louise were getting ready. The girls were even more relaxed than the boys and we got some lovely photos of Lindsay in her beautiful wedding dress inside the house before going outside and making use of the beautiful garden.
